An Abolitionist Approach to Housing Justice in D.C.

This project seeks to amplify the voices of DC residents who have been evicted, unhoused, displaced, or are organizing against displacement. By collecting and sharing their stories, the project will show the impacts of unjust and violent housing practices, highlight residents’ efforts to resist eviction, and advocate for more just policies.

This project examines the current housing system from an abolitionist framework to envision what a just future could look like.
